THE DISRUPTION

Why This Matters Now

The rise of large language models and autonomous AI agents is fundamentally reshaping how customers discover, research, and book attractions. Traditional channels that have powered the industry for decades are being disrupted.

🔍

Marketing in Crisis

The "clickless future" is here. AI-powered search experiences from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overview are replacing traditional search results. Your website traffic could vanish as AI agents answer questions directly.

🌐

Distribution Uncertainty

OTAs and resellers are deploying AI buying agents that negotiate, compare, and book on behalf of customers. These systems prioritize data they can parse, margins they can maximize, and relationships they control.

⚙️

Operational Efficiency

While marketing faces disruption, operations has an opportunity. AI-powered chatbots can handle guest inquiries 24/7, workflow automation can eliminate repetitive tasks, and intelligent systems can optimize resource allocation.

The Time to Act is Now

This isn't about chasing hype or implementing AI for its own sake. This is about survival and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing landscape. Every major tech platform—Google, Microsoft, Meta, OpenAI—is racing to deploy AI agents that will fundamentally change how people discover and purchase experiences.

Strategy: Understanding the Uncertainty

Keynote Presentation + Facilitated Discussion

We cut through the AI hype to focus on concrete changes affecting attractions. This session explores how AI agents and LLMs are fundamentally changing distribution, how OTAs might be disrupted, and what leadership must watch for.

Part 1: The introduction (10 minutes)

  • General Overview: Who we are. Why we are here. Setting the stage.

Part 2: OTA Disruption & Agent Economics (20 minutes)

  • AI buying agents explained: How autonomous agents negotiate on behalf of customers. Why traditional commission structures may not survive. What incentivizes an AI to recommend your attraction?
  • OTA vulnerability analysis: Which OTA business models are most at risk? Are GetYourGuide, Viator, and Klook prepared? What are they doing about it?
  • Direct vs. distribution strategy: When AI agents can access your inventory directly via API, do you still need OTAs? The trade-offs between discoverability, conversion, and margin.

Part 3: The Clickless Revolution (20 minutes)

  • Consumer behavior shift: How ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overview are replacing traditional search. Real data on search traffic decline and what it means for your website.
  • AI-powered trip planning: Live demonstrations of how customers are using AI to research and plan attraction visits. What information are they seeking? Where does your business appear (or not appear)?
  • Attribution apocalypse: When customers book through AI agents, how do you track where they came from? The death of Google Analytics and what replaces it.

Part 4: Technical Readiness & Data Strategy (20 minutes)

  • API infrastructure requirements: What endpoints do AI agents need? Real-time availability, dynamic pricing, instant confirmation. How ready is your current tech stack?
  • Structured data & schema markup: How AI agents parse your website. The critical importance of Schema.org markup, meta descriptions, and semantic HTML.
  • Content strategy for LLMs: Writing for machines AND humans. How to structure product descriptions, FAQs, and policy information so AI agents can accurately represent your business.

Part 5: Peer Discussion & Strategic Planning (20 minutes)

Facilitated discussion where participants share:

  • What distribution changes are you seeing in your market?
  • Where is AI already impacting your business (if at all)?
  • What are your biggest concerns or uncertainties?
📋 Post-Session Deliverable

Strategic assessment checklist: Evaluate your business's AI-readiness across distribution, technology, content, and competitive positioning.

Tactics: Practical Tool Training

Live Demonstrations + Hands-On Workshops

Stop wondering what AI tools can actually do for your business. We focus on tools that deliver ROI without massive technical investment—things your team can start using the next day.

🤖 ChatGPT & Gemini Deep Dive (25 minutes)

Beyond basic prompting—learn advanced techniques that save hours every week:

  • Custom GPTs for your business: Build a custom chatbot trained on your attraction's FAQs, policies, and operational procedures. Deploy it for staff training or guest services.
  • Content generation workflows: Turn one piece of content into 10. Transform a blog post into social media threads, email campaigns, video scripts, and ad copy in minutes.
  • Data analysis without Excel: Upload your booking data, revenue reports, or survey results. Ask ChatGPT to identify trends, create visualizations, and generate executive summaries.
  • Gemini's live capabilities: Use Google's Gemini to analyze competitor websites in real-time, extract pricing intelligence, and monitor market positioning.
Hands-On Exercise:

Participants create a custom GPT for their own attraction during the session.

📊 Gamma: AI-Powered Presentations (15 minutes)

  • From idea to pitch deck in minutes: Generate investor presentations, board updates, or sales decks by simply describing your content. AI handles design, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Dynamic reports for stakeholders: Create monthly performance dashboards, marketing campaign results, or operational reports that automatically update with your data.
  • Training materials at scale: Build onboarding presentations, safety briefings, and procedural guides for seasonal staff without needing a designer.
Live Demo:

Watch us build a board presentation from scratch in under 5 minutes.

⚡ N8N: Workflow Automation Without Coding (30 minutes)

The most powerful tool in this session—eliminate repetitive tasks forever:

  • Automated guest communication: Build flows that send personalized pre-arrival emails, collect feedback post-visit, and route support requests to the right team member—all without manual intervention.
  • Social media monitoring: Set up automations that track mentions of your attraction across platforms, flag negative reviews for immediate response, and compile weekly sentiment reports.
  • Data synchronization: Connect your booking system, CRM, and marketing tools so data flows automatically. No more manual exports and CSV uploads.
  • AI-enhanced workflows: Integrate ChatGPT into N8N to automatically summarize customer feedback, translate reviews, or generate response templates.
Hands-On Workshop:

Build your first automation: a workflow that monitors booking confirmations and sends a Slack notification to your operations team.

🎙️ ElevenLabs: AI Voice & Audio (15 minutes)

  • Multilingual audio guides: Clone a professional voice and generate audio tours in 29 languages instantly. No recording studio or voice actors needed.
  • Phone system optimization: Create custom IVR messages, hold music narration, and automated announcements that sound natural and professional.
  • Marketing content: Turn blog posts into podcast episodes, create video voiceovers, or produce radio ad spots without hiring voice talent.
Live Demo:

Generate a 30-second audio guide excerpt in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.

Sharing: Peer Best Practices

Structured Knowledge Exchange + Collaborative Planning

This isn't just a "show and tell" session. We use a structured format to extract actionable insights from pilot participants' experiences. What worked? What didn't? What surprised you?

Part 1: Quick Wins Showcase (25 minutes)

Participants share their fastest successes using the "Win-Impact-Effort" framework:

  • 5-minute lightning presentations: Each company gets 5 minutes to share one tool or technique they implemented successfully. Focus on business impact, not technical details.
  • Metrics that matter: Time saved, cost reduced, revenue generated, or satisfaction improved. Real numbers, not vague benefits.
  • Replication playbook: Specific steps others can follow to achieve similar results. What would you do differently knowing what you know now?
Example Topics:

"We reduced email response time by 60% with ChatGPT templates" • "N8N automation saved our marketing team 10 hours/week" • "AI-generated audio guides increased tour engagement by 25%"

Part 2: Failures & Lessons Learned (20 minutes)

The most valuable part of the session—honest discussion about what didn't work:

  • Safe space sharing: What tools were overhyped? Which implementations flopped? Where did you waste time or money? No judgment—just learning.
  • Root cause analysis: Was it the tool, the use case, team adoption, or implementation approach? Distinguish between tool limitations and execution issues.
  • Team resistance patterns: How did staff react? What objections came up? Which roles were most skeptical? Strategies for overcoming pushback.
Common Challenges:

Integration headaches • Data quality issues • Hallucination problems • Cost surprises • Training time underestimated

Part 3: Change Management & Team Adoption (20 minutes)

Technology is easy. People are hard. Share strategies for organizational buy-in:

  • Executive sponsorship: How did you get leadership support? What ROI metrics resonated with your CFO or GM?
  • Champion identification: Who were your early adopters? How did you leverage them to influence skeptics?
  • Training approaches: Formal workshops vs. peer learning? Documentation vs. hands-on practice? What worked for different roles and age groups?
  • Measuring adoption: Usage metrics, productivity improvements, or anecdotal feedback? How do you know if people are actually using the tools or just going through the motions?

Part 4: Strategic Roadmap Workshop (25 minutes)

Collaborative planning for the next 3-6 months using the Eisenhower Matrix (Urgent vs. Important):

🔥 Do First (Urgent + Important)

Immediate AI initiatives that prevent competitive disadvantage or unlock significant value. Examples: Schema markup implementation, API readiness, chatbot deployment.

📅 Schedule (Not Urgent + Important)

Strategic projects for Q2-Q3. Examples: Content strategy overhaul, workflow automation buildout, team training programs.

⚡ Delegate (Urgent + Not Important)

Quick wins that don't require leadership involvement. Examples: Social media graphics with Canva AI, email templates with ChatGPT.

❌ Deprioritize (Not Urgent + Not Important)

Shiny tools that won't move the needle. Learn to say no to AI for AI's sake.

  • Define your top 3 AI priorities for the next quarter
  • Identify resource needs: budget, tools, training, headcount
  • Set success metrics and review cadence
  • Commit to an accountability partner from the cohort
